Montauk State Park, Missouri

Montauk State Park is located 21 miles southwest of Salem, Missouri in the heart of the Ozarks. The seven crystal clear springs within Montauk State Park combine with Pigeon Creek to form the headwaters of the Current River. Though the Montauk State Park is famous for fishing, outdoor enthusiasts have the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful variety of activities in the park including, hiking, camping, and picnicking.

The pristine waters and the beautiful natural surroundings of the Current River offer some of the finest trout fishing in the Midwest. Anglers descend on Montauk State Park from March through October for the official trout season, and on winter weekends for the catch-and-release program.
